Have you ever wanted to have the experience of playing John Cage’s large ensemble pieces? Well, you’ll have your chance this weekend at Pitt’s Bellefield Hall. Eclectic Laboratory Chamber Orchestra will host an open reading session of large-ensemble pieces by John Cage, including the massive 101. This is at a slightly odd time  (12:30–2 p.m.) because it’s part of the American Musicological Society’s meeting in Pittsburgh, and academic conferences have very packed schedules, but it’ll make for a great afternoon diversion.
